An opportunity to have a post work glass of wine at Long Bar and Bistro on Fillmore St to discuss getting involved in charity events.
Bio: Robin Farmanfarmaian is the current Co-President of San Francisco Ballet’s ENCORE! where she helps raise awareness for the ballet by throwing galas, cocktail parties, educational events and group performance attendance. She recently retired after 3 years as the San Francisco Opera’s BRAVO! Club’s Volunteer Coordinator.
This past December she was one of the organizers of TEDx Silicon Valley and will be involved with the next one in Silicon Valley. She was involved with Wonderfest, the Bay Area Science Festival held at Stanford and Berkeley. This spring she is interviewing high school students and college freshman to help grant scholarships. She will also be attending Harvard this spring for the “Women and Power” Executive Program, held only for women in high level positions. As a “kitten expert” she spent years fostering, socializing and helping adopt out kittens for the SPCA. Other charity works over the years have included raising money/awareness for the homeless, diseases and children.
