Eugene Reshetov
Please choose one of the following two choices:
(1) An opportunity to have a private a 2-hour street photo lesson or
(2) An exclusive portrait shoot of the winner, including color prints provided afterwards.
Bio: Eugene Reshetov has been taking photographs for as long as he can remember – including the childhood days of shooting with an old mechanical camera and developing and printing films in a converted bathroom.
Photography, to Eugene, is the only method in this day and age to “stop” the ever rapidly changing and accelerating rhythm of life. Timeless images of the masters of yesterday serve as a unique way to see the world of many decades ago. One good photograph can tell a story without words, often deeper and more concise than paragraphs of text, and, despite its documentary precision of a captured moment of time, leave the viewer guessing at what happened before and after.
Originally from Belarus, he calls beautiful San Francisco his home base. From here, he travels frequently, and during each voyage he attempts to bring the essence of each country, each city, each location he visits through photography. And when he is at home, San Francisco never fails to provide him with inspiration with its own beautiful scenes and diverse people. He is grateful to have had a chance to exhibit his work in several galleries in San Francisco and in several private collections. His latest photographs come from his trips to Nepal, Myanmar, Nicaragua, Cuba, Guatemala and Mexico.
Company/Position: World Traveling Documentary Photographer
